A: Testing is generally conducted in 2 hour sessions, and is done on a one-on-one basis. The examiner will ask a variety of questions that measure language functioning, visual\/perceptual skills, memory, higher cognitive skills, etc.<\/p>\n
A: After testing is completed, requested medical records are received, and the report is written. During an hour long interpretive session the results are discussed with the patient. At this time treatment recommendations are also made.<\/p>\n
A: As a general rule, there will be five visits. This may vary, depending on what tests are done and the patient’s ability to test for 2 hours at a time. The first visit is an intake interview, followed by 3 testing sessions, and an interpretive session once the report is completed.<\/p>\n
A: Yes. CNS does take Workers Compensation and New York State No Fault(for motor vehicle accidents). We also participate with Medicare, CDPHP, Blue Shield NENY, and many others. Your insurance coverage will be checked prior to your evaluation to ensure services will be covered. If the insurance company requires prior authorization or referral we will find out for you<\/p>\n
A: Depending on your insurance company’s requirements, you may need a referral. We will let you know if a referral is required prior to scheduling any appointments. <\/p>\n
